We're making progress. Honestly.
We don't claim to be perfect. We prefer to tell you where we are and where we want to go.
What we already do
Our flagship t-shirts are made of GOTS-certified organic cotton.
The vast majority of our t-shirts are made from Stanley/Stella textiles, a Belgian brand recognized as a benchmark for responsible textiles in Europe. Their products are GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified: cotton grown without pesticides or GMOs, under respectful working conditions. This is the most demanding certification in the industry.
Our beanie and tote bag are also made from certified organic cotton.
This isn't 100% of our range. But it's a solid start, and it's no accident; it's a choice.
For the others, we've chosen a quality ring-spun cotton t-shirt, hand-dyed piece by piece for unique colors that are impossible to reproduce otherwise. The manufacturer is committed to respecting its employees, eco-responsible manufacturing, and a circular approach.
Print-on-Demand
our first commitment
Even before talking about organic cotton, there's a fundamental choice we made from day one: never produce what isn't ordered.
No stock. No overproduction. Every item you order is made for you, and only for you, at the moment you order it. It is then shipped from a factory in Europe, directly to your mailbox.
In an industry where billions of garments end up incinerated or in landfills every year, this model is a statement. Less waste. Less impact. Just the essentials.
What we're moving towards
Our goal: striving for 100% responsible.
We are working to gradually evolve all of our textiles towards organic or recycled materials. It's a journey, not a switch. Today, certain specific shades or textures do not yet exist in organic with the level of durability and comfort we require.
Rather than choosing a lower quality organic textile that would prematurely end up in the trash, we prioritize robust pieces made to last for years. But we are making progress: each new reference is selected with this ecological priority in mind.
Our vision: supporting those who protect water.
We don't just want to "give for giving's sake." We are thinking about the best way to act for our waters: should we donate a fixed amount? Fund the removal of plastic waste (1 t-shirt = X kilos less plastic)? Support a local project in Switzerland or elsewhere?
One thing is certain: we want this commitment to be yours. Rather than launching an empty marketing promise, we are taking the time to build this pillar. Does the tribe have an idea? A local association to suggest to us? We are listening. We move forward together, and we want every action to truly count.

What we assume
Some textiles in our range are not yet organic. Hoodies, sweatshirts, certain special items – we are working on serious alternatives, but we won't change just for the sake of changing.
We prefer to tell you the truth: we are a small Swiss brand of two people, making real choices in an imperfect market. We are moving forward at our own pace, with our own convictions.
This is not an excuse. It's our way of being honest with you, and with ourselves.
Let's move forward together
Salty Breath Society is also you. Each order allows us to continue developing this brand in the right direction, to choose better textiles, to support causes that matter, and to prove that a lifestyle brand can be beautiful and responsible at the same time.
Slow dive. Good vibes. Trust the flow.
